My Story

Adrienne Peterson, MS, CCC-SLP

I am a nationally certified and locally licensed speech language pathologist.  I will soon additionally hold a Science of Reading Certificate for SLPs.

 

After earning my Master's Degree at Idaho State University, I worked in the Idaho for 10 years as a speech therapist in private practice. In addition to private clients, I was responsible for speech services in local public and charter schools, a developmental preschool, home health, and pediatric clinic.

I have worked closely with other professionals including regular and special education teachers, occupational  therapists, physical therapists, and other SLPs.

I enjoy developing creative activities that encourage communication and literacy, including interaction with family, games, songs, crafts, movement, and daily routines.  I also love teaching literacy skills and helping children as they learn to read and write.

In 2013 I opened my private practice in the Mill Creek, WA area, traveling to client homes to provide individual speech, language, and literacy therapy.   My goal is to integrate speech therapy with daily life, and help communication become a success instead of a struggle.
